IBC accessories at Wholesale Industry cover the two add-ons buyers ask for most: IBC tote covers and IBC garden hose adapters. Each is checked against your actual tote and valve before it is quoted, and accessories can ship on their own or with an order of totes, tanks or other containers.

What is in this category

IBC tote covers

IBC tote covers fit over a caged tote. Send the tote dimensions and the access you need to the top opening and valve.

Garden hose adapters

IBC garden hose adapters connect the tote's outlet to a standard garden hose. Outlet size and thread decide fit.

With totes or alone

Add accessories to a new order of IBC totes or buy them for totes you already own.

Matching accessories to your totes

A similar-looking tote or valve does not prove fit. Caged totes vary in height and cage design, and discharge valves vary in type, outlet size and thread. Matching starts with the tote and valve in front of you.

How to identify your valve outlet

  1. Photograph the valve straight on and from the side, with a tape measure in frame.
  2. Note the valve type and any markings on the body or handle.
  3. Measure the outside diameter of the outlet thread.
  4. If you have a thread gauge, record the thread pitch; otherwise count threads over a measured length.
  5. Note whether a cap is fitted and whether it is threaded on the outside or inside.

Send these details with the quote request. If your totes came from different sources, check several valves; one fleet can include more than one outlet type.

Outfitting a fleet of totes

Accessories are often bought for a group of totes at once. Before ordering in quantity, sort the totes by size and valve so each group gets the right part, and give the count for each group. When buying new totes and accessories together, ask for the valve and outlet details of the offered lot so adapters can be matched before shipping instead of after delivery.

Covers are usually counted one per tote, while adapters may be fewer if hoses move between totes. Consider spares for adapters that are handled often, since threads and washers wear with repeated connection.

Material and use

Describe what the tote holds and how you will use the accessory. An adapter that is fine for rain or irrigation water may not suit other liquids, so material compatibility should be confirmed for your contents. If totes sit outdoors through freezing weather, drain the valve and adapter, since trapped water can crack fittings.

Covers in daily use

A cover is most useful on totes that stay in one place for long periods, especially outdoors. Decide whether the valve and top opening need to be reachable without removing the cover, since that affects the cover style and how often it is handled. On a busy site, label covered totes with their contents on the outside of the cover so nobody has to lift it to check. Remove and inspect covers periodically for wear at the cage corners, where rubbing tends to start.

Frequently asked questions

Will an IBC tote cover fit both 275 and 330 gallon totes?

Not necessarily. The two sizes differ in height, and cage designs vary, so a cover is matched to the tote you have. Send the tote size and measurements, including the cage, and say whether you need to reach the top opening or valve with the cover on.

How do I find the thread size on my tote valve?

Measure the outside diameter of the outlet thread, and record the thread pitch with a gauge or by counting threads over a measured length. Photograph the valve from the front and side with a tape measure in frame. Send these details so the adapter can be matched to your outlet.

Can I use a garden hose adapter for liquids other than water?

It depends on the adapter material and what the tote holds. Describe your contents in the request so material compatibility can be considered for the adapter offered. Do not assume an adapter used for irrigation water is suitable for other liquids.

Can I buy accessories without buying totes?

Yes. Accessories can be ordered for totes you already own. Send the tote size, valve and outlet details, photos and the quantity needed. If you are also buying totes, adding accessories to the same request lets them be matched to the offered lot and shipped together.
