Material handling equipment from Wholesale Industry covers what carries product between dock, rack and line: used, reconditioned and new pallets, Monoflo automation containers and trays, distribution and bakery dollies, and matched container pallet systems. Quote several categories together so one order can outfit a complete flow.

What the material handling department covers

This department groups the equipment that carries, stacks and presents product as it moves through a facility. It sits beside the containers and dry storage department, and many buyers quote both at once: a container is only useful if the pallet, dolly or automated system under it fits.

Automation containers and trays

Monoflo trays, AutoStore bins and stack-only, stack-and-nest, foldable, knockdown and return collapsible containers for conveyors, robotics and goods-to-person systems, listed in automation containers and trays.

Choosing equipment by how the load moves

Start with the movement, not the product name. A pallet that works for floor storage may be wrong for selective racking, and a tote that runs on one conveyor may not track on another. The table maps common handling stages to the equipment in this department.

Pallets: condition and design

Used and reconditioned wood and plastic pallets suit one-way shipments, export loads where pallets will not come back, and internal storage where appearance matters less than cost. Reconditioned stock has been sorted and repaired; used stock is sold as returned from service, so ask about deck boards, stringers or blocks and any contamination concerns before committing a large order.

New Monoflo plastic pallets are factory models chosen by design. Nestable pallets sit inside one another when empty to save space on return trips. Rackable pallets are built to span rack beams. Stackable pallets are made for loaded floor stacking. These names describe intended use, not a load figure, so check the rated capacity of the exact model for static, dynamic and racked loads.

Automation containers and trays

Automated systems are less forgiving than manual handling. A tote that is slightly off-size, or one with a ribbed bottom where a flat one is expected, can stop a conveyor or a robot gripper. The Monoflo range is therefore split by function:

Send the integrator's container drawing or the part number of the tote you run today. New automation containers are factory orders, so minimums vary by product and condition and are confirmed in the quote.

Dollies and container pallet systems

A dolly is sized to a specific tray or tote footprint. Distribution dollies move stacked totes through stores, warehouses and delivery routes; bakery dollies carry stacked bakery trays from rack to truck to shelf. Tell us which tray or tote the dolly must carry so the pairing can be confirmed, and confirm whether the quote includes containers or the dolly alone.

Container pallet systems combine a container body with a pallet base, offered as collapsible pallet systems that fold for return or straight-wall pallet systems that keep a fixed shape. For larger bins chosen by footprint and condition, see collapsible bulk containers.

How to order material handling equipment

Send the product types, condition, quantity, dimensions or model numbers and delivery ZIP through the request a quote form, or call 855-964-2534. Mixed orders are welcome: pallets, dollies and containers can share one quote. Pickup can be arranged at our Pennsville, NJ and Tampa, FL yards for eligible items, LTL freight is quoted to your ZIP, and full truckloads are quoted individually. Pricing is quote-based with quantity tiers, and minimums vary by product and condition. If you are still comparing options, start with the buying guide or browse the full catalog.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell both new and used pallets?

Yes. Used and reconditioned wood and plastic pallets are listed alongside new Monoflo plastic pallets in nestable, rackable and stackable designs. Used and reconditioned stock suits one-way and internal use, while new factory pallets are chosen when a specific design or uniform fleet matters. Each condition is quoted as its own line, and minimums vary by product and condition.

Which pallet type should go into racking?

Use a pallet designed to span rack beams, such as a Monoflo rackable model, and check the rated capacity of the exact model for racked loads. Nestable pallets are built for space-saving returns and are generally not the choice for open racking. If you want used or reconditioned pallets for racking, say so in your request so the offered pallets can be reviewed for that use.

Can you match the automation totes or AutoStore bins we already run?

Send the part number, a drawing or the integrator's container specification, plus photos of the current tote. Automation equipment depends on exact outside dimensions, bottom profile and features, so the offered model is confirmed against your system before you order. New automation containers are factory orders, and minimums are confirmed in the quote.

Can I combine pallets, dollies and containers in one order?

Yes. Mixed orders are a normal request. List each product type with its condition, quantity and dimensions, and give one delivery ZIP. The quote shows each line and the freight for the combined shipment, or pickup by arrangement from Pennsville, NJ or Tampa, FL where the items are eligible. Full truckloads are quoted individually.

Do dollies include the trays or totes shown in photos?

Not automatically. Some product photos show a dolly with a container on it as an example. Confirm in your request whether you need the dolly alone or dollies with matching trays or totes, and name the tray or tote footprint the dolly must carry so the pairing can be checked before the quote is finalized.

Are there minimum order quantities?

Minimums vary by product and condition. Used and reconditioned items are often available in smaller quantities, while new factory items such as Monoflo pallets and automation containers usually carry higher minimums set by the production run. The exact minimum for each line is confirmed in your quote.
